CBC hosts Matabeleland Schools Media Clubs

CBC hosted the Matabeleland Schools Media Club meeting today (Friday 15th September), attended by Media Clubs from Petra, Falcon College, Girls College and Dominican Convent. It was a great opportunity of networking and sharing ideas.


ZBC’s Nyasha Diva Mtamangira was guest of honour at the Matabeleland Schools Media Club meeting held at the CBC resource centre today. Nyasha is a TV presenter who was named in the list of the top 50 most influential young Africans.
She gave a motivational speech, highlighting the opportunities that await them in when they finish school whether they choose to pursue media as a fulltime career or as a hobby.

Mrs Violette Keetui, director of The Communication Catalyst, gave a speech on Social Media at the Matabeleland Schools Media Club meeting. Mrs Keetui explained to the Media Clubs that social media is an effective channel for marketing and publicity.
Other presenters were representatives of the Media Clubs from different schools and patrons.
On giving the closing remarks and vote of thanks, the Petra Media Club patron, Mrs Margie Rees summed up the success of the Matabeleland Media Clubs by saying, “Whatever we touch turns to gold.”
